WHY THIS TOUR
This itinerary takes you even further into the heart of La Rioja.
In addition to exploring the renowned wine country and visiting carefully selected wineries, the route ventures into the mountains and forests of western La Rioja, where you’ll discover two of the region’s most remarkable destinations: San Millán de la Cogolla, home to the UNESCO World Heritage monasteries where the first written words in Spanish were recorded, and Ezcaray, a beautiful mountain village known for its traditional architecture, rich history and outstanding gastronomy.
The contrast between endless vineyards, quiet mountain roads, historic villages and spectacular natural landscapes makes this one of the most complete ways to experience La Rioja. It is a journey that combines wine, culture, history and nature in equal measure.
Designed for those who want to experience La Rioja at a relaxed and enjoyable pace.
We ride between 30 and 45 kilometres each day, with climbs ranging from 400 to 900 metres. The stages are perfectly balanced, allowing plenty of time to enjoy the ride while leaving the afternoons free to discover everything that makes La Rioja so special.
After each day’s ride, you’ll have time to wander through historic villages, visit wineries, enjoy long lunches on sunny terraces, explore centuries-old monasteries, relax in charming boutique hotels and experience the warm hospitality that defines this region.
We believe the best way to discover La Rioja is not by rushing from one place to another, but by slowing down, enjoying the scenery, meeting local people and immersing yourself in the culture, gastronomy and wine that have made this region famous around the world.
